  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Routing & Switching (CCIERS Routing & Switching)

To gain the prerequisite skills and knowledge, learners must have passed the Cisco CCIE Routing and Switching written exam.

Before taking Cisco 360 CCIE R&S Advanced Workshop 2, learners should be very familiar with the topics that are covered in CIERS1. It is also strongly recommended that learners perform two self-paced, graded assessment exams before attending this course. Learners should be able to demonstrate advanced-level competencies (knowledge and skills) that are equivalent to the following from both configuration and troubleshooting perspectives:

  • Perform expert-level tasks involving WAN technologies and switched Ethernet networks
  • Perform expert-level tasks involving Routing Information Protocol version 2 (RIPv2), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
  • Perform expert-level tasks for route redistribution
  • Perform expert-level tasks for Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
  • Perform expert-level tasks for IPv4 multicast
  • Perform expert-level tasks for IPv6 unicast and multicast connectivity
  • Perform expert-level tasks for router quality of service (QoS) using the Modular QoS CLI (MQC)

Several training courses are available through Cisco Learning Partners that are recommended to meet the prerequisites:

Cisco CCNP

  • Осуществление IP маршрутизации Cisco (2.0) (ROUTE)
Cisco (2.0) (SWITCH)
Cisco (2.0) (TSHOOT)

Beyond CCNP

Cisco® 4.0 (BGP)
Cisco (SPROUTE)
Cisco (SPADVROUTE)

Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:

  • Perform expert-level tasks involving both configuring and troubleshooting WAN technologies and switched Ethernet networks
  • Perform expert-level tasks involving both configuring and troubleshooting RIPv2, EIGRP, and OSPF
  • Perform expert-level tasks for both configuring and troubleshooting route redistribution
  • Perform expert-level tasks for both configuring and troubleshooting BGP
  • Perform expert-level tasks for both configuring and troubleshooting MPLS Layer 3 VPNs
  • Perform expert-level tasks for both configuring and troubleshooting IPv4 multicast
  • Perform expert-level tasks for both configuring and troubleshooting IPv6 unicast and multicast connectivity
  • Perform expert-level tasks for both configuring and troubleshooting router QoS using the MQC
  • Perform expert-level tasks for both configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Catalyst 3560 Series QoS
  • Perform expert-level tasks for both configuring and troubleshooting IP services

Cisco 360 CCIE R&S Advanced Workshop 2 (CIERS2) v5.0 teaches learners how to use an expert-level, problem-solving process including the Options Analysis method to support complex network technologies and topologies. This course is part of a blended learning curriculum that supports expert-level preparation in routing and switching. This course has been updated to reflect the recent changes in the Cisco CCIE R&S lab that is implemented in the version 5 blueprint.

Module1: Formulating a Final-Phase CCIE Preparation Strategy

  • Differentiate an expert-level lab into well-defined subtopics
  • Perform mental simulations and the Options Analysis method
  • Test rigorously and verify Cisco IOS Software-based configurations
  • Formulate and apply applicable internetworking techniques

Module 2: Troubleshooting Cisco Networks

  • Describe an overview of the CCIE R&S troubleshooting section
  • Review the troubleshooting method that is outlined in the CCIE v5 blueprint
  • Describe an approach to forming a hands-on CCIE troubleshooting template for connectivity issues
