The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are as follows:

• CCNA Certification recommended.
• Recommended attendance of a Fibre Channel Protocol class or equivalent experience.
• Recommended attendance of the Implementing Cisco Storage Network Solutions (ICSNS) class or equivalent experience.

During the course of instruction the learner will be exposed to the configuration of advanced technologies, such as Fibre Channel, QoS and FCoE, but will not be required to have experience with these technologies in order to successfully complete the class. Configuring Cisco Nexus 5000 Switches (DCNX5K) v3.0 course is a 5-day ILT training program that is designed for systems and field engineers, consulting systems engineers, technical solutions architects, and Cisco integrators and partners who install and implement Cisco Nexus 5500 and 5600 Series Switches and Cisco Nexus 2000 Series Fabric Extenders. This course also includes coverage of new features introduced in Cisco NX-OS 7.0(1)N1(1), and also include introductory coverage of Cisco Nexus 3000, 4000, 6000, 7000, and 9000 Series Switches. This course covers the key components and procedures required to configure, manage, and troubleshoot these Cisco Nexus 5000 Series platforms.
